JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas –
The 149th Fighter Wing at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland held an F-16 fighter pilot graduation ceremony Oct. 21.

The six pilots were Capts. David Lee and Nicholas Schultz, and 1st Lts. Christopher Brown, Jacob Hiers Matthew Medla, and Johnathon Slife, with the 182nd Fighter Squadron. The six pilots collectively have more than 1,000 hours of flight time in the F-16 fighter jet.

Col. Benjamin Schill, 149th Fighter Wing Operations Group commander, officiated the ceremony, while retired Col. Timothy Madden was the keynote speaker at the graduation.

The 149th Fighter Wing’s Operations Group is responsible for the unit’s F-16 student pilot training mission.
